Now that summer time has ended and the dark nights are drawing in, please be extra vigilant. Always make sure that garages and sheds are kept locked while you are out doing that shopping.
Ensure that the back doors are locked while you settle down to enjoy the TV and other noisy distractions.
Check that your car is locked and if an alarm or immobiliser is fitted use it. If you have a garage, put the car away.
Please keep an eye on your neighbor's property especially if they are away. Do not forget to cancel your milk and paper deliveries when you are going away over the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Make sure that any keys are put into drawers or cupboards when you go out. If the keys are visible it is an invitation to a thief to use a wire to hook out the keys and so avoid the need for breaking and entering.
