A Day of Nostalgia

Spinner 1918

What a turnout we had for our day of nostalgia at the Chapel.

As we looked back at Comberbach in 1841, finding out who lived in the village all those years ago, it was interesting to see so many old photographs and maps etc and to listen to stories and memories being exchanged.

The event was part of the project to create a Heritage Map of the village detailing places of interest, listed buildings etc.

If you would like to help with the project, for example by researching the history of a particular building then please contact Steve Howard at the local Post Office.

Comberbach Youth

Comberbach Youth is a new project which aims to make a difference in Comberbach by ensuring that young people have a say in what they would like to see or change in the village to make a better environment for them.

The project is aimed at the 12 to 16+ age group and we are looking to raise funding for the project which will provide a balance of both work and fun. To find out more about the aims of the project checkout the link to the Youth page.
