We are located in the heart of Cheshire, near to Northwich, approx half-way between Manchester and Chester in the Northwest of England. Although a small rural village we are just a handful of miles south from the M56 and west of the M6 motorway networks making our location idylic for those who like the country life but need to commute to their work and businesses.
Our village comprises traditional farming communities who now live alongside more urban commuters who have settled in the village over the past 30 years, and who together share an enjoyment of rural life and a sense of community living.
Local Councils
We come under the jurisdiction of Cheshire West & Chester County Council as well as our own village Parish Council. We are also part of the church parish of Great Budworth, which was once the second largest parish in the country.
Amenities
With just one Post Office shop, a small olde worlde wooden garage, a primary school, a Methodist Chapel and two public houses our facilities are rather limited by today's modern amenities, but that's part of the overall attraction of the village.
Attractions
Close by are other small rural villages plus the unique Anderton Boat Lift on the Trent and Mersey canal and the open spaces of Marbury Park and Budworth Mere. The Village is very active in country pursuits and hosts many groups and associations.
