The village bowling club has progressed since 1922 to become one of the main bowling clubs in Mid-Cheshire. We currently have 7 teams playing, three teams in the Mid Cheshire League, two teams in the Norley evening league, and two teams in the Norley afternoon league. We host also various representative matches up to County standards throughout the summer months. Bowling takes place from the beginning of April to October.
We have a club membership of about 100 and we welcome new members to the club. Whether you are an experienced grown green bowler or a novice we can always find a member or two to introduce you to the club. The bowling club is run by a committee and the bowls pavilion has a small licensed bar. Even if you do not play bowls for one of the club teams you can always call in for a drink and meet fellow members. Whether you want to be a social or playing member a small annual subscription entitles you to use the facilities and we have also several social functions throughout the year.
The British Crown Green Bowling Association and the club are keen to attract junior players into the game and over the past few years several of our juniors have gone on to represent Cheshire at a junior and senior level in crown green bowls.
